4 Colors Economic CI Flexographic Printing Machine

CI flexographic printing machine is an economic 4 color printing solution for flexible packaging production. The machine adopts central impression drum, PLC control, chamber doctor blade system, EPC web guiding and automatic tension control, which guaranty the stable web handling and stable printing quality.
It is suitable for PE, BOPP, PET, CPP, nylon and other flexible materials. It is a practical choice for manufacturers of plastic film and flexible packaging products.

1. Central impression printing structure
The central impression drum carries the web during printing, thus contributing to improve the color registration, especially when processing extensible flexible materials. The central drum is provided with a constant-temperature water cooling system.
2. Motorized Color Registration Motorized 
longitudinal and transverse registration is controlled by PLC, enabling precise positioning and convenient registration adjustment in production. 
3. Automatic Tension Control 
The single-station unwinding system adopts magnetic powder control and automatic tension control. Low-friction cylinders keep the web tension stable, and the web tension is automatically maintained when the machine stops for less material loosening. 
4. EPC Web Guiding System

An EPC system is installed before printing to automatically correct the web position and help reduce the lateral deviation during continuous production. 
5. Efficient Drying System Drying system 
adopts electric heating with circulating airflow. PID temperature control guaranties the temperature accuracy of ±2°C. The double-sided airflow, hot-air drying and cold-air setting improve the drying efficiency. 
6.PLC Control & Video Inspection

The PLC control system assists the machine operation. The video inspection system enables the operator to observe the printed web during production. 
7. Stable Rewinding System 
The rewinding section adopts the center winding with magnetic powder clutch and low-friction tension control. 
8. Wide Material Compatibility 
The substrates can be LDPE/LLDPE, HDPE, BOPP, CPP, PET, nylon and other flexible materials. The quoted configuration is for thin-film application in the approximate 15–150 μm thickness range.

Q1: What can be printed with this CI flexographic printing machine?
A. The machine is suitable for flexible substrates such as LDPE/LLDPE, HDPE, BOPP, CPP, PET and nylon. The quoted configuration is primarily meant for thin-film printing applications. 

Q2: What is the speed of the machine's printing?
A: The maximum mechanical speed is 250 m/min, the printing speed specified is about 50–200 m/min. The actual production speed depends on the substrate, the printing repeat, the ink, the required print quality and the drying conditions. 

Q3. How precise is the registration?
A. The specified longitudinal and transverse registration accuracy is ±0.1 mm. The PLC system controls the motorised registration longitudinally and transversally. 

Q4: What kind of ink can be used?
A: The machine can use water based ink or solvent/oil based ink according to the substrate and the production requirement. 

Q5: How does the machine control the ink transfer?
A. Each print station comes equipped with a ceramic anilox roller, chamber doctor blade system, and electric ink pump. This arrangement helps control the amount of ink, to achieve uniform ink transfer, and to minimise splashing of ink during printing. 

Q6: How to use the drying system?
A. It is an electric heater that circulates hot air. PID temperature control achieves stable drying conditions. Efficient drying is obtained by combining hot air drying, double sided airflow and cold air setting. 

Q7: Has the machine automatic web guide and tension control?
A: Yes. The unwind section is equipped with automatic tension control and EPC web guiding system to ensure the stable feeding of material, and reduce the wandering of web during printing.
